American actor, producer, and narrator Morgan Freeman has been accused of sexual harassments. A total of 16 people talked to the CNN about his sexual misconduct, out of which eight said they were the victims of his misconduct and eight said they were the witness to his behavior on movie sets and inside his production company, Revelations Entertainment.
After the CNN published the accusation report, Freeman issued a statement and said, “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy. I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”

CNN entertainment reporter Chloe Melas made a detailed investigation on Freeman’s behavior after she herself faced the misconduct from him at the press junket for “Going in Style” a year ago. According to Melas, Freeman shook her hand not letting go a while, looking her repeatedly up and down and finally making a comment ‘You are ripe’. She felt uncomfortable and talked about the incident with her supervisor at the CNN entertainment. After several discussions, her supervisor agreed that she would not cover his movie.
After the incident, Melas started talking to people if she was the only one who felt uncomfortable with Freeman’s behavior. But the investigation led to the revelations of his behavior on movie sets and Revelations Entertainment. The people who said they were the victims of his misconduct were his company employees and those who worked on movie sets. According to those people, Freeman would often make suggestive comments about their figure, outfit and tried to touch them. They would try to best avoid him when he was at the office.
Those eight witnesses have said that they have seen him behaving inappropriately with women that made them feel uncomfortable. The Oscar-winning actor, who is 80 years now, is the latest big Hollywood figure who has been accused of sexual harassments.
